We are writing to encourage everyone to get out and vote (or vote early or by mail) in favor of extending our Wild Rose experience in Greene County. Your “YES” vote will enable the Grow Greene County to financially support many much-needed projects.
As co-presidents of the Greene County Early Learning Center board, we are focused on providing quality childcare helping children, families and businesses.
As most of you reading this know, we have begun construction of our new $2.1 million childcare center. Grow Greene was instrumental in this project, pledging $500,000 toward its completion. In fact, Grow Greene was a catalyst to the project by awarding us the grant in early 2020 enabling us to move forward with other grant applications and fundraising. With a positive vote on November 2, the Grow Greene grant will be fulfilled.
Our project is not the only one to be so affected. Over the past six years, Wild Rose has paid $5 million in property taxes and payments to the cities and county. An additional $9 million has gone to support schools, the GCELC, fire and safety, libraries, cultural projects and economic development projects in communities throughout the county. A “YES” vote will allow the continuance of the myriad of other city, county, and philanthropic projects.
We who are involved with the Greene County Early Learning Center have had the dream of our own building since the beginning in 2005. The commitment of the Grow Greene County and Wild Rose Resorts to devote significant resources to local entities have truly made dreams come true!
Please, vote “YES” on November 2.
